So the wedding is three days long?
As you know, we spend most of our winter weekends in the mountains skiing/snowboarding. When we thought about our ideal wedding, we thought about how fun it would be to share our favourite activity with our closest friends and family. We understand that not everybody skis, but we thought everyone loves a weekend away in the mountains, so why not make ski trip out of a wedding weekend! We invite you to join us Saturday to Tuesday to enjoy a few days of skiing, après, hot pools and everything Panorama Mountain Resort has to offer; consider it a destination-lite wedding weekend. That said, if you can only make it part of the weekend, no problem, we totally understand - come when you can. We can't wait to spend some QT on the mountain with you!
What is the weather going to be like?
Great question! We sincerely hope we get a powder weekend, with crisp blue bird skies on the day of the wedding. That said, the weather is unpredictable. Assume that it will be cold, but mild winter conditions. Average temperatures this time of year are typically -5 to + 5 degrees C. It will be an outdoor ceremony, so please dress and plan accordingly.
What should I wear?
Dress to impress, but also dress for the conditions. We welcome winter wear for the ceremony - jackets, mitts, pit vipers, proper footwear, what ever will be most comfortable. We'll be paying close attention to the weather as the date gets closer! Expect mild winter conditions -5 to + 5 degrees C. We hope for new snow and blue bird days, start doing your snow dances now!
Where should I stay?
There is plenty of accommodation at Panorama Mountain Resort and surrounding area. Take advantage of staying right on Panorama Mountain Resort using this direct link and booking code: ASHLEYDANIELE27 Alternatively, there are ton of options through AirBnB and VRBO. We recommend being walking distance to Panorama Mountain Resort. See the Travel page for more detailed information.
Will there be children at the wedding?
While we both adore children and feel incredibly lucky to have so many wonderful little ones in our lives, we have chosen to make our wedding day an adults-only celebration. As our wedding is a weekend-long event, children are welcome to join family and friends for activities outside of the wedding ceremony and reception. We hope this gives everyone the opportunity to relax, unwind, and enjoy a fun evening with us. We understand that arranging childcare can sometimes be challenging. If attending without your children would present a significant obstacle, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We would be happy to chat and see how we can help.
I hear there is a party lap?
Heck yes there is! After the ceremony, those who are interested are invited to meet us at the Mile High Chair to do a party lap in our wedding attire! More details and logistics to follow.
Will I get a discount on my lift ticket?
We're working on it! Stay tuned!
